Music video for Warner

In the beginning of January I directed a music video for Warner Music Germany, the song is called Craving by Saint Lu. 

It was entirely shot on location in Iceland.  Somewhat different from my other work, but still keeping to a narrative structure.

Selected for Protoclip

My music video, 'What Are You Waiting For' for Dikta has been selected to play at the Protoclip music video festival in Paris.

The festival features videos from some big names like Kanye West, Foster the People, Skrillex and ICP.

A New Music Video

Just released a new music video for the Icelandic band Árstíðir.

It features all the things you would want in an Icelandic nature, a tourist, the landscape, a hunter and a mystical little girl (and also a dismembered hand, of course)

Audience Awards!

Our short film, the satirical When Rabbits Fly, just won the Audience Awards at the prestigious short and animation film festival Encounters.

In it's 18th year, Encounters showcases some of the world's best animation and short films. It's the UK's leading short film festival, and we are of course very excited to not only to have been a part of the festival, but also to have won the audience awards.

"A director to watch"

My short film, When Rabbits Fly, which I wrote and directed along with Halldór R. Halldórsson in 2011, just got selected to the prestigious Encounters Short Film Festival in Bristol, UK. 

The festival has been called “The UK's leading competitive short film festival", attracts around ten thousand people each year and features around 200 shorts and animation films. 

That's of course great news, but it gets better, as we also got selected to the Future Encounters:

"Future Encounters is a showcase of 10 filmmakers whose work demonstrates a distinctive cinematic and/or artistic vision. We believe they are all talent to look out for in the years ahead."

A great honor indeed, and we (my co-director and the producer) will be showing our pretty faces and meeting others at the festival from the 19th to 23th of September. Be sure to check us out if you are in the area, I promise we'll be nice and not hostile.

What Are You Waiting For?

Just released a music video to the song 'What Are You Waiting For?" by Dikta, one of the biggest bands in Iceland.

The music video is more like a short film than a video, and includes a racing competition, fight scenes, an explosion (what more could a boy ask)

Alexander Briem plays the leading role against Gunnar Hansson,  and a cameo from Dean Lister, a mixed martial artist and a former King of the Cage champion.
